https://maemo.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=509 kimmo.hamalainen at nokia.com changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID ------- Additional Comments From kimmo.hamalainen at nokia.com 2006-10-04 14:24 ------- I found this from http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2396.txt?number=2396 on page 7: "2.2. Reserved Characters Many URI include components consisting of or delimited by, certain special characters. These characters are called "reserved", since their usage within the URI component is limited to their reserved purpose. If the data for a URI component would conflict with the reserved purpose, then the conflicting data must be escaped before forming the URI. reserved = ";" | "/" | "?" | ":" | "@" | "&" | "=" | "+" | "$" | "," " If I understand it correctly, it says that '/' must be escaped before forming the URI, since it's one of the reserved characters. (And the HTTP RFC refers to this RFC.) Koos: I think GnomeVFS has a public function that you can use to do the escaping. -- Configure bugmail: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
