Summary: No easy way to add dsp tasks to the dsp_dld config file
           Product: System software
           Version: 3.1
          Platform: N800
        OS/Version: IT OS
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Low
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: carlos at maemo.org
        ReportedBy: tuomas at kulve.fi
         QAContact: hafqa at maemo.org

The dsp_dld configuration file includes a list of all dynamically loaded dsp
tasks with their names and paths to the task library. Afaik, there is no
convenient way for a 3rd party package to add its task to the list.

Maybe e.g. a conf.d directory including a file per task and a
"update-dsp-tasks" tool would be convenient? The update-dsp-tasks could just
concatenate the files to form the actual configuration file?

This way a 3rd party task could add its own configration file to the conf.d
directory and in postinst run the update-dsp-tasks. Likewise after the task's
configuration file has been removed, running the update-dsp-tasks in postrm
script would remove the task from the actual configuration file.
