It does not catch property access, though (they probably should be encapsulated in functions) What Johan's patch does is to remove any attempts to use our extended functionality so that hildon can be compiled against stock gtk (or maemo gtk without MAEMO_CHANGES) I think we should have --enable-gtk-extensions[=yes/no/auto] configure flag (default=auto) which would determine whether MAEMO_CHANGES gets defined (while building as well as in the pkgconfig file) and our gtk extensions are even attempted to be used. Did that make any sense? btw, GDK_WINDOW_TYPE_HINT_MESSAGE should be replaced with GDK_WINDOW_TYPE_HINT_NOTIFICATION as soon as we have matchbox which supports the hint. That would be one patch/conditional less. -- Configure bugmail: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact. Reordering columns is hillarious to watch. When you press down on a column header, it shifts to the row BENEATH it. You must then drag that shifted header BELOW where you want it to go, with lots of weird screen artifacts, then let up and hope for the best. Theoretically usable, but some major display bugs there!" I did some quick research to try to find out where this distortion is coming from. With plain gtk+ on the desktop there are no problems at all, and there haven't been any related issues reported for a long time. However: - On the device it looks really bad. - In my ARM scratchbox it looks mostly fine (though it's not 100% smooth). - In desktop GTK+ it looks perfect. I also tried desktop GTK+ in valgrind, and then it looks really bad again. Right now I suspect the "animation" is using a lot of CPU power, so the device cannot really keep up. Since the ARM scratchbox is emulated, I am not surprised to see a little 'distortion' there too. (Maybe it is nice to get rid of the 'moving column header animation' here, and only show a drop indicator arrow between columns at the right moment.) -- Configure bugmail: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact. Anyway as I said I've .pc files around I'll polish them tomorrow. > With this patch the public headers (report.h and booster.h) are installed to > {includedir}/maemo-launcher-1.0/maemo-launcher and a pkg-config file > (maemo-launcher-1.0.pc) is installed in the pkg-config path. Also I've been meaning to get rid of the report.h dependency from the boosters, so that I can stop using -rdynamic on the launcher. And I'll have to remove the booster_load_module from the header as I don't want to expose that one. > Please tell if there is anything that needs to be changed or if I should also > add a -dev debian package. It's a bit late now, so I'm heading home, but don't worry will take care of the fixes and commit tomorrow. -- Configure bugmail: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
