This is a complex problem anyway, don't expect one fix-it-all solution, even if we got ellipsization completely right, it *still* sucks. Btw, I've tested this a bit more and it seems the only place where it really fails to be centered by more than 1/2 pixels is the Navigation Applet, and Moises tells me it's doing some evil hacks there.
