https://maemo.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1160 ------- Additional Comments From sean at cs.gmu.edu 2007-03-29 06:13 ------- It is indeed a problem with checkbox mode being on by default, which is a pretty bad idea, as mentioned here: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/long_list.cgi?buglist=298 The problem here is that Nokia has deviated from GTK in a way that is brittle. Rather than create a special subclass of TreeView which does Nokia-specific mechanisms, TreeView itself has been modified, creating behavior different than that expected in GTK documentation, and desired by existing GTK-based libraries and applications. This makes porting a headache and also causes long, annoyed evenings by developers like myself scratching our heads about a mysterious change to GTK's Treeview with no explanation except in unrelated documentation hidden away somewhere. All this stuff should be eliminated. From your comment, I infer that you have done this already in Sardine; when will this be migrated to the N800? If I inferred incorrectly, please let me know as I'd like to reopen this bug to make this request. -- Configure bugmail: https://maemo.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
