EXPECTED OUTCOME: clean render of a less then 9 px wide box

ACTUAL OUTCOME: rendering is incorrect, the rendered box's wider than the
window

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM: compile the attached sample code using the
following commmand line:

$ gcc -o bug sapwood_paint_box_bug.c `pkg-config --cflags gtk+-2.0 hildon-libs`
-ansi -Wall `pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0 hildon-libs`

then run it using:

$ run-standalone.sh ./bug
