Summary: Password fields should disable auto-capitalisation
           Product: System software
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Low
         Component: hildon-libs
        AssignedTo: michael.kostrzewa at nokia.com
        ReportedBy: matt at ucc.asn.au
         QAContact: hildon-libs-bugs at maemo.org

SOFTWARE VERSION:
2.2007.51-3 n810

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
Start up an app that has a password entry textbox (I noticed this in XChat).
When the password is typed on the physical keyboard, auto-capitalisation is
turned on for the first letter, which is hard to notice.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Autocapitalisation is turned off for passwords.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
The password typed on the keyboard isn't the password that the app gets, so I
spent a while trying to figure why the app wouldn't connect.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
Always reproducible in many apps, though it seems that other some apps might be
explicitly disabling it. For ease of porting existing Linux gtk apps it would
make sense to have it system-wide.

I'm not 100% sure if hildon-libs is the right component, free free to
reallocate.
