I tend to agree with tz and comment #18 - I have to wait several minutes (up to
5) to get a lock on 5 satellites in clear skies (even with AGPS enabled), then
if I close Maps and reopen it immediately I have to again wait up to 5 minutes
to get another lock. Alternatively if I close Maps having had a lock then go to
Control Panel, open the GPS applet and hit the Location button I'm faced with
another 5 minute wait for GPS lock even though the device had a good lock less
than 30 seconds previously.

The long delay to get a lock is bad, but having to endure such long delays when
the device had a lock just seconds before is inexcusable - it makes it less
than practical to whip it out of a pocket and quickly check the current
location.
