I would consider this fixed when I have a set of a half dozen or more high
green bars in the map's gps view page going, close it.  Don't move the n810. 
Wait only 5 minutes.  Restart map, and within a few seconds get a lock.  Not
the 0/0, or the four weak gray bars that takes 5 minutes to turn green.

It should really take only a few seconds to restore the original state, and
should be able to lock in a minute if you are in the same place and your clock
(set when the GPS locks?) is accurate.

And it is not as if the ephemeris wasn't easily available on the net.
