Now that I have my N810, I can reproduce this issue. You're not requesting
accelerators for menuitems (which exist - as we already made sure by looking at
other bugs), you're requesting Mnemonics for menus. Changing title.

The fix seems to be to add all CellRenderer image bindings that are in the
TreeView style also for the CellView.  This patch does this and it fixes the
issue.  Probably want to move the newly added bit to somewhere else, a new cell
view section or something.

Xan, does this look right?  Could you take care of committing this, I have no
idea what the proper place is for theme commits.

curl-ca-bundle.crt file in /etc/ssl/certs

OTHER COMMENTS:  If you pass the location of the certs bundle explicitly on the
command line like this:

curl -v --cacert /etc/ssl/certs/curl-ca-bundle.crt https://s3.amazonaws.com:443

then the certificate gets verified correctly. So I thought that curl would look
for this file by default, but apparently you have to tell it to do so on the
command line.

This behavior is easy to add for those applications that need it and very hard
to remove for those that don't. Upstream rejected this patch for very good
reasons and this should be removed from Maemo as well.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
I'm not the only one having this issue, but not everyone is. Could be a
hardware problem...
1. Boot the tablet
2. open osso-xterm and do-
   $sudo gainroot
   #echo host>/sys/devices/platform/musb_hdrc/mode

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Mode should be changed.
ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Mode is not changed-
   #tail /sys/devices/platform/musb_hdrc/mode
gives-
   b_idle

It seems that the soft ID pullup is getting stuck UP (usb peripheral). It will
unstick if external Vbus voltage is applied to the port and allow normal mode
change from sysfs... (i.e.- If I plug the tablet into my PC as periperal, then
unmount and unplug it, I can change modes once. But if I change mode to otg or
peripheral it sticks at b_idle again.

REPRODUCIBILITY:

always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
Have tried this on freshly flashed (51-3) n810 in R&D mode with no additional
software...

OTHER COMMENTS:
I was able to patch the musb_core.c file to make this issue go away by making
the driver reinitialize when mode changes. I'm not a kernel developer so my fix
may not be 'correct'. but here it is-

The diff utility (required by the GNU Coding Standards) is missing. It isn't
even tested by configure scripts generated by autoconf, which give a misleading
error message (in my case, a problem with the grep utility, though grep works
fine). I've reported the problem to bug-autoconf, but got a reply saying that
this won't be fixed on the autoconf side as a system with a missing diff is
broken. Hence this bug report.

Development packages, such as make, also assume that diff is provided as
standard by the system since they don't depend on a package that provides diff
(and I couldn't find any such package for OS2008 anyway).

I think you should watch the video first (in the URL field of the bug). I don't
think what's shown there is what you are thinking of.

Also, if it was a specified behavior, it would consistently reproducible. It is

Same problem here. I first had file-system corruption, then saw "attempt to

To me, these widgets could need more work (but I'm not an expert, so maybe they
are right the way they are):

 * HildonCaption:
   The widget always appends the separator symbol (":"), shouldn't it be
   prepended in RTL mode
 * HildonDateEditor:
   The month doesn't seem to be editable anymore; the popup widget with the
   calendar doesn't seem to step into the correct directions for the left/right
   arrows.
 * HildonTimeEditor:
   While the time editor displays the time "08:49" (which is 11 minutes to 9 in
   the morning), the time editor displays "49":"08" and the edit popup displays
   "9""4":"08", I think at least both orders should match.

I might be able to review the widget behavior with my Libanese neighbor.

I built a .deb and installed it inside scratchbox but no way. It didn't work.

I had to run localedef. Now the widgets are mirrored. Will check them and see.

appear correct if the locale is an RTL one. Problem'd be a latin string and an
RTL locale but I guess the proper solution'd be fully translating the

HildonDateEditor:
The month field is not editable because it's a label not an entry.
In apply_locale_field_order():
You are using (void) g_date_strftime (buffer, sizeof (buffer), "%x",
&locale_test_date);
%x is the preferred date representation for the locale. Bad luck, this
representation for Arabic includes the month name. That's why ;-)

Now we need to find a solution.

HildonTimeEditor:
I didn't really check it but my guess is gtk flipping the box ?

I made a RTL version of the plankton theme (both matchbox and gtk themes), get
it from http://khaledhosny.org/files/plankton-rtl.tar.gz.

But there are two issues that I spotted, in the hildon_bread_crumb_trail widget
the bar is slightly shifted to the left getting out of the window. Also the
"Home" menu, though pops up on the right side as expected, I've to click on the
left upper corner to get and not in the right corner where it should be (I'm
not sure if this is a matchbox or hildon widget issue, but I didn't figure
where in matchbox theme this is defined).

Bug 2802 appears to be a duplicate; although I might have accidentally hijacked
it for a different bug (filesystem corruption even when the partition is
smaller than the device size).

I'm on 51-3 myself. I think they both use the same kernel(rx-34-2.6.21.0) but
I'm not 100% sure on that...
