It is too radical change at this point as a lot of apps would need modifications (they likely would not handle deleting the dialog window very well ;), in the future designs our dialogs might look a bit different and this bug will be taken as one input to those. > Re your question what should it do after tapping it, that seems obvious. All > major user interfaces do not apply changes if any are still outstanding after > hitting the close button in the window decoration. Yep, but more important is that someone (app) would need to handle this situation, and everyone should handle it exactly the same way. > > You'll have to port the program to include buttons to > > indicate user's wish. > > I think this is in direct conflict with the Qt/Nokia headline of code less, > deploy everywhere. Nope, different UI's can have different styles. Maybe Qt Maemo style (if such exists) should be modified to include close buttons in dialogs? In linux world, a window manager decides what is being shown on window decoration, application should not depend on a certain window manager at any level. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Replies to this email are NOT read, instead please add comments at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3670 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug, or are watching the QA contact.
