At some point, the keyboard (ThinkOutside Stowaway Ultra-slim) would connect, and could way the tablet (N800 running 4.2008.30-2) from sleep, but the tablet would not accept input no matter how many times I disconnected and reconnected or repaired the keyboard. Rebooting the tablet corrected the problem.
