Today's update did contain some related stuff actually - see
http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showpost.php?p=228366&postcount=24,
and load_omap_sec_module/load_omap_hwrng_module in /mnt/initfs/linuxrc.

Just out of curiosity, what is the reason for handling the RX-48 differently?
