Now, can we find a way for users to make it just work? Try maemo-mapper
on N800 for example. It says it is for 2007 too, but the .install doesn't
work.

Is there a way we can enforce that if someone adds an application for
IT2007 that the install file contains a line:
repo_deb_3  = deb http://fooexampleonly.com/maemo bora extras
and for IT2006:
repo_deb  = deb http://fooexampleonly.com/maemo mistral extras

Those lines can be included in a single .install file.

We need some sort of automatic QA on added .install files. Non-working
installs will frustrate users and we can at least prevent simple issues
with some sanity checks.
