A first rough proposal of what could go under the Intro section. Some of the contents exist already and it's just a matter of re-linking them. Some contents don't exist yet but they are no critical bugs to stop any release. We will produce them filling the gaps. Power users should understand what is explained in this section. No development docs here. maemo-users is the primary target. Intro default page answers 2 questions: What is maemo + what maemo.org offers to you. Links to the most relevant URLs in the whole site. Subpages: - Platform - Applications - Community - Nokia OSSO - Get Involved Platform: general overview, internal components, upstream components, maemo release, sardine/herring... Applications: IT OS, Garage, Porting & developing. Community: spaces and tools for everybody, involvement in the open source community. Nokia OSSO: information about the core team + Nokia role. Get Involved: from adding new software to taking the red pill or becoming a professional maemo hacker, with the possibilities of collaboration in between. TO DISCUSS: we might have subpages under Platform describing the main areas: Hildon Desktop, Connectivity, Multimedia, Kernel... Or this shoulg go under development. As a non developr I think it could be useful to have two levels: stuff for you to know and stuff for you to hack. I could find everything under Development, though. We might have also subpages for each official application under Applications. The small ones can be described by groups i.e. home applets. -- Quim Gil - http://maemo.org
