[maemo-community] [maemo2midgard] Kill the vertical navigation?

This navigation in the right column is creating more trouble than
expected. I reckon I didn't dislike it when it was drafted but I think
we have to reconsider it, specially if we want to optimize things for
the tablets. And we are going for fixed width.

http://flickr.com http://wowio.com are known examples, there are others
out there.

Although well, I guess the right navigation still can be saved if we
work better optimizing spaces, fonts and so on.

A good example is http://ruby-lang.org and its lovely yet simple design.
I wish we had something like this for maemo, everything looks like being
in its placed, well balanced and with a diversity of elements that make
every page interesting to the eyes.

Don't get me wrong, this is not a hack we need to solve this week. But I
think is a discussion we need to have, in the context of improvements to
the current layout design.

What do you think?
