[maemo-community] [maemo2midgard] Phase 2 near completed and short term testing activities

Hello,

First of all let's welcome on board Jake (test manager) and Marcell
(testing engineer). The guys will help us with improving our testing
process starting from now :)

As we agreed Henri tries to complete Phase 2.4 by the end of next
week. That means that we will complete the entire Phase 2 development,
since Phase 2.5 was already completed (see the one pagers at garage
[1]).

There are two major areas that require testing:

1. Mailing lists and other archives
 * Mailing list archives browsable via Midgard forum system
 * Possibly with ability to send email from the forum

2. Application Catalog API v0.1
 * An open API that enables automatic catalog updates.

I would like to ask Eero to make the web forum working with a test
list that is available at maemo.org. The name of the list is
test at maemo.org. I know that the forum is hidden now at maemo.org.
Please let us know how could Jake and Marcell access it.

Henri, I would like to ask you to provide an "API specification" and
-if you have time- a small test tool (could be a simple shell script)
for the Application Catalog API. If you don't have time for the test
tool, then please let me know the API spec as soon as possible, so I
could hack something.

Jake, Marcell and myself will do testing on June 4th, 5th and 6th. We
will use garage task manager [2] to write test cases. I know that you
guys (Midgard Project) have test cases for the replication, though
they are in Finnish. It would be great if you could send those to us
(or just point to their location). Jake and Marcell will start writing
proper test cases which we can use in the future as well.
