I think we can make a topic just like announcements. We can let certain
people post their 'news' item there.

A midgard style can determine the displaying of this topic, just make a
list of links or titles + excerpt.

We would automatically get an RSS feed for this.

Another option is to gather external RSS feeds from companies and like we
do for planet and do the same for jobs. We can style it like a list of
links. All companies would need to have an RSS feed for this to work.

I think the news item style like we use for announcements is good. It
provides a quick overview by giving a list of titles. You can click
through to get more information.
