[maemo-community] Maemo forums going beta

Hi, all

Most of the old email archives have now been imported to the forums,
and therefore I'm now opening them to beta:

* maemo-developers: https://maemo.org/community/maemo-developers/
* maemo-users: https://maemo.org/community/maemo-users/

maemo-community will follow next week when the lurkers and other
things are properly set up.

The idea of the forums is to have full web access to the maemo.org
mailing lists, enabling users to choose whether they want to use the
lists via email, web, or both. Messages sent to the list will be added
to the web forum via cron-based lurker addresses, and messages posted
via web will be sent to the lists.

When posting via web, the address used for sending will be the primary
email of the maemo.org profile. Other email aliases will be matched to
the user when importing emails.

There is still much to do with the forum templates, but I wanted to go
beta now in order to start collecting bugs and opinions about this new
service. Please use this list or bugzilla for that.

I have some time booked for improvements next week. That will include:

* Fixes to bugs that will rise up
* Fixing message headers showing up with some messages that have
messed-up MIME (on template level)
* Minor visual improvements, like showing avatar and karma of posters
that have maemo profiles
* Possibly message favoriting

Please note that maemo-developers import is still ongoing. This means
not all messages are up yet, and the server is slowish while
processing the thousands of messages.

/Henri
