[maemo-community] Maemo Site

Thanks, Jose... These are good critiques (I hadn't yet had time to go
through everything, so I appreciate it!).

In addendum, we'll need "rollover" states for all links and
buttons... This is just something I didn't want to forget adding to
the discussion. :)

Hello,

Just as "W3C evangelist", I think that the markup should validate
with
W3C validators[1]:
"Errors found while checking this document as HTML 4.01
Transitional!"

The main error now seems to be the div#menu, but using "structural
markup" it should/could be:

...
...
And thinking about accessibility[2] of the webpage:
- There should be meaningful "text" alternatives for the images (for
example "Logo" doesn't say nothing for Maemo.org logo), and
decorative
images should have an empty "alt" attribute. And the "bright" star is
not the same than the "dark" star, so, they shouldn't have the same
"alt" attribute
- The document structure should be revised. There shouldn't be an h5
after an h3 without existing an h4 before if they are in the same
block.
- Why aren't the input fields inside a "form" element? The "input"
elements should have associated "label" elements

And, a last thought, being a "W3C Mobile Web Initiative" member, have
you consider about the webpage being a "mobileOK" page:
http://validator.w3.org/mobile/?docAddr=http%3A%2F%2Fopenbossa.andrecunha.com%2Fmaemo%2F&view=cat

Just sharing some thoughts. Thanks and best regards,
