[maemo-community] Fwd: Community Page

Andre,

I've uploaded a file here:

http://wiki.maemo.org/images/a/a6/Maemo.org_samoff.png[1]

You can take the advice or not, but I think it looks better... Others
can weigh in here as well.
*Notice how closely the edges of the page are to the edge of the
image file. This is how the page looks on a small screen and why I
suggest adding some padding to each side of the page's
parameters.	*The blue lines represent where I moved several elements
(text and images/buttons) to align not with the edges of the content
spaces, but inside by several pixels (again, this is a padding issue).
In this case, I aligned the elements with the "curves" of the content
boxes rather than their outer edges.	*I moved the Register button down
one pixel.	*I moved all of the main Navigation button text down two
pixels.	*I didn't make the change on this image, but I'd like to see
the form text (User, Password, Search...) vertically centered within
their content spaces as well.I hope this isn't too confusing

looking at the linked image will help, I think... But, these are all
picky changes and if others don't feel that they're necessary, then we
can skip them. But, they're not difficult changes to make, so let me
know what you think.

Happy holidays! (Meaning, I probably won't respond to anything until
after the holiday.) ;)

Tim

Guys, this is what we got testing in the different browsers we have
here. I think the only issue we couldnt fix in all browsers is the
form boxes on the header that are not exactly aligned in some browsers
(but looks good in my FF3).
  So, links here:

and files here (to Nemein to test the CMS implementation and work
further on whatever is needed):

 Hi Glaubert,
 Looks great!
Once we have the finalised front page as HTML (hopefully this week,
before people leave for Christmas), can you work on reusing the same
CSS
for the Development and Community pages, and generating HTML that we
can
 hand off to Nemein?
 Thanks!
 Dave.
