Sorry, too late. The process has been being discussed for weeks on the
wiki: that was the time and place for discussions. Now it's
implementing the agreed plan of having a distinguished, competent,
expert panel of judges choosing the winner (after input and discussion
within the community).

Whether the judges recognise said debate and discussion is up to them.
