I think so. Enough to discard it.

I can't see that logo without seeing Barcelona'92. Note that the logo
above was the reference one, then there were derived pictograms for
all the sports and what not:

The chances of having the same association made by users and the media
are relatively high. If we have found more than one in this small and
you list imagine in the WWW once people start blogging about it.

Note that this has nothing to do with how good the logo is and if th
author was conscious of not about the association.
