Yes, and that's why all council communication takes place on this list  
or on #maemo by default (unless confidential or sensitive). So by  
subscribing to this list (and perhaps hanging around on #maemo) you're  
already involved in the process. The council email address would be  
for people who wish to contact the council directly, but don't wish to  
do it through a public list. It would _NOT_ be the new default  
communication method. :)
