I kind of liked the heavier contrast of the earlier lightened version  
(I guess it was Andre's?). The header and footer (the footer  
especially) both feel like they could use more contrast (OS X here, so  
my gamma settings could be coming into play), the whole thing just  
lacks a little boldness.

The HOT and FRESH items sort of jump out at you past everything else  
on the page. The orange box feels like a little much, maybe do away  
with them entirely? Or expand them to also include the text and the  
rating and make them gray? Dunno, but the orange is too much.

The GO and hourglass buttons to login and search in the header could  
use the orange treatment of GET INVOLVED and GET HELP buttons.
