Good idea. It would also give newcomers fair chance. Things should be 
still moving. Value of old karma points should gradually decrease in time.

Umm, not sure about this :-) My reason would be to make it fair for 
newcomers. We don't want inactive people sitting on the top of the list 
forever, right?

Still, balancing the weight and add more sources seems more important to 
me at this time. When checking the karma list [1], E-mails to the list 
should perhaps go a bit down ;-)
