There were comments from USians about the location - but as a European (who'd never been to Berlin before), I thought it was perfect[1]. I'd resist the urge to have two "summits" - one in America, one in Europe - but such an act may be necessary? The continent could alternate, with a smaller spin-off get-together (possibly attached to an existing event) on the other continent? > Let's have also in mind the Fremantle timeline: > http://wiki.maemo.org/Task:Maemo_roadmap/Fremantle Organising something like the summit for a similar time (or maybe a month or so before), presumably conflicts with the ramping up Maemo Marketing will be doing for fremantle, and any notional device running it ;-). However, from a community point of view, getting together to celebrate the fremantle release and showing off all the work done during the alpha/beta stages on actual hardware could be very compelling. Cheers, Andrew [1] OK, it could be more perfect if it was somewhere like Coventry or Birmingham - although I'd be less boozy going home everyday ;-) -- Andrew Flegg -- mailto:andrew at bleb.org | http://www.bleb.org/ maemo.org Community Council member
