I myself consider the mailing lists the most important medium. I subscribe to all lists and this is the first thing I read before looking elsewhere for Maemo happenings. From there, in order of priority, I watch _some_ pages on the wiki, follow planet.maemo.org and the garage.maemo.org feed, IRC occasionally lastly followed by ITT if I get chance.
