Hi all,

Here's a quick update on the current state of play in the Maemo Summit
content & agenda. The content committee (that's me, Jamie & Valerio)
would like both feedback on the content that's up there already, and
want to issue a call for more user oriented material on the platform,
perhaps some hacks you've done with your tablet that are cool, maybe an
overview of using the tablet for some specific use-case (personal media
center, multimedia creation maybe, whatever).

So - here's the current status on presentations

There are 3 lightning talks planned, out of 20 available slots.1 of them
was proposed as a lightning talk, and 2 were presentation proposals that
got converted. I encourage anyone with a great application who wants to
give it more exposure to submit one!

We are working on 2 or 3 keynote sessions, one is confirmed - the
Fremantle Stars showcase.

We have 13 slots in each of the user, app developer and platform
developer tracks, and so far we have accepted:

* 6 user sessions
* 8 application developer slots
* 3 platform developer slots

There are 9 proposals which are either in "wait & see" mode, or have not
yet been evaluated.

The user sessions are mostly related to community stuff that doesn't
require programming skills right now - maemo.org bug management, using
Mer, Maemo documentation, Maemo co-creation. I would be very happy to
see some presentations aimed at power users on how they can string
together different applications to do complex tasks. I'd love to see
presentations on things like using your N800 or N810 as a home stereo,
or using it to podcast, things like that. Anyone feel up to the task?

I'll be away for a couple of weeks, but the other members of the content
committee, Jamie Bennett and Valerio Valerio, will be around.

Thanks for all your presentations, and I look forward to seeing you all
in Amsterdam!

Cheers,
Dave.
