This is already something of a plan (or, at least, an aspiration). See also:

Reggie's also been looking at doing it with vBulletin now, as part of
the transition to talk.maemo.org:

It's not progressing very quickly, AFAICT, so it's a bit of a
backburner task. There are some quite tricky technical intricacies to
get right and will probably require Reggie and bergius/X-Fade to have
some low-level discussions about posting authorities and mailing list
netiquette.
