The calendar used on the maemo.org site should do this pretty easily.

* we can tune the permissions so that community members can post events
* the calendar supports importing events from external RSS+xCal feeds
(multiple feeds possible, think of this as "Planet Maemo" for events)
* there is a grid view available, just now we're using the list as
that makes more sense when there are only couple of events per year
* events can optionally use the registration system on maemo.org (like
the Summit did for instance)

So, just let us know how the things should be set up :-)
