Thanks for the update Dave.

It's just a shame there is no universal "currency" character.  Such a
think could be inked onto a single key, and software language/region
settings could be used to determine the default character produced when
it was pressed.  Alternate currency characters could then be produced by
key cycling, combo presses or somesuch.

Eh, probably too complicated...
