Just under 600 people currently have karma>25 (you can see that by going to 
the profile list, page 20

there are 30 people on each page).  So, at least 1/3 of the people who voted 
for the current council cannot vote under the proposed rules.  More likely it 
is at least 1/2 (as not all of the 600 currently qualified presumably voted 
last time).  That should be intolerable not just to me but to all the current 
committee who benefited from those hundreds of people's votes!

I am going to make a specific proposal: reduce the karma qualification to 10.  
Not "just for this time", but permanently.  That takes us up to 1350 people 
eligible (see page 45 of the listing).

My preferred option is still that anyone with a maemo.org account should have 
a vote.  But I am willing to not push for that to go to a referendum if we 
can agree on 10.
