So what Quim is suggesting is that (if I understand correctly) when a
new release is made of a project, it's considered like a new news item
on maemo.org/news. When people thumbs up/thumbs down it gets higher or
lower on the "latest product news" page. Then when it's old enough it
will naturally drop off the page the way old news does.

Does that sound like the system that you're proposing, Quim?

So here's the question: If you implement a system like that, how can you
tell if an older application is any good? How would you find the oldies
& goodies? We'd still need ratings & rank by popularity, I think.

If I'm right about what Quim was proposing, then it seems we weren't on
the same wavelength, and a little thought is required to synchronise us.
