I'm not necessarily against - and since the Summit, we should now have a fairly high quality feed from ITt to include in a news stream - but I'm wondering why the forum would get a different treatment from say mailing lists, IRC, Bugzilla, or any of the other user forums we have. It seems to me like having the user forum on a "Get help" support page, and on the "Get involved" community page, is sufficient exposure. Also, I'll ask the question here while I'm at it: should Documentation get a top-menu billing on the front page? I was sure I remembered that we had agreed that it was in general meaningless, and should be left to sub-pages (developer docs, support docs, user docs, community docs)? But looking back through the archives, it got re-included before Tim's final layout proposal, after Andrew said "something we *need* to re-introduce - there's no "Documentation" link". I did disagree at the time, but it got added back in to the mock-ups at that stage. One of wazd's complaints in the meeting was that there's no room to extend the top-level menus if it's needed, and if we now want to add "User forum" or "Forum" to the front page, either as an element of the page or as a top-level menu item, then we're probably going to have to put it in the place of "Documentation". Thoughts? Cheers, Dave. -- maemo.org docsmaster Email: dneary at maemo.org Jabber: bolsh at jabber.org
