Hi, jussi.h.makinen at nokia.com wrote: > My original idea of talk.maemo.org was just to continue the 'talk' > naming tradition of internet tablet talk. In the main menu of maemo.org, though, I just wonder if "Talk" will mean the same thing to visitors as it does to those of us in the know. I see "Maemo Talk" as a brand, not a description of what it is. Will people really know what "Talk" is? I'd have guessed something about feedback, or maybe telephony? But definitely not "The Maemo users forum". And since, in the top menu, we don't have the luxury of explaining what is behind the links, we need the labels we use to be explicit about function, no? > I will promote 'Maemo Talk' heavily on maemo.nokia.com so that there's a > place where newbies/users can discuss features and ask questions and so > forth. So up until that point it's ok still to say "use google" or "this > has been already discussed in another thread, use the search foo!" but > not after, please ;-) This is great! I hope we will also promote "Maemo Talk" heavily on maemo.org. Cheers, Dave. -- maemo.org docsmaster Email: dneary at maemo.org Jabber: bolsh at jabber.org
