I agree that something more needs to be done here... I like the idea of keeping the right sidebar consistent with the front page (even if it contains different content). Maybe something can be done to style the sidebar similarly. (This also goes for the Planet/Download pages). For Downloads in particular, I'd like to keep the two "bog boxes" from the main page on top of the main content area -- I like how they look (and work!).
