Isn't a form spamming all people subscribed to -community?

I see there is a need to report status, but do we really need to bother
everybody on the list with that? Why doesn't a wiki page suffice for this
kind of reporting?

Another thing I worry about s spending to much time on the 'metadata'
instead of doing the actual work?
