There are two events:

Event 1:
'it's good to be open' - panel discussion

When:
Thu 10 Sept 19:00

Where:
Delegate Centre,
the British Film Institute (BFI), Southbank, London, UK

Abstract (updated):
Open source developed out of an open distribution of software,
offering practical access to source code for others to improve and
collaborate on. This open and collaborative approach has spread much
further as a means to approach design, development, and new production
models as the world wakes up to the value of sharing and openness.
With speakers from Nokia, Tinker.it! and Joel Gethin Lewis.

Event 2:
"Nokia: the art of open source"

When:
Saturday 12th, 14pm (actually this may be incorrect, but it's what in
their webpage)

Where:
At the British Film Institute (BFI), Southbank, London, UK

Abstract:
An introductory workshop showcasing the development potential of the
Maemo platform.
Maemo developers will explain how you can get involved with this
dynamic developer community, the many different applications this open
source platform can facilitate and the new Nokia technologies that are
expanding the possibilities of open source collaboration between
designers, developers and users.

It's a media event, focused on images in movement as art.
It's not really a conference, but more a possibility for media artists
to showcase their
ideas , their perspective of Art from a multimedia point of view.

This is what I understood, at least :)

The second event is the one where Gary's showing off.
The first event was "discovered" by Sebastian a few mails earlier :)

Thanks!
