If I might be so bold...

Doesn't it make sense to keep the old council hanging around on council
forums for a hand-over period, at least until there's a transition
meeting at the Summit?

I don't see a down-side to keeping the 4 outgoing council members on the
council alias for a couple of weeks - especially if the new guys have
questions.
