I think people insisting on moving mailing lists to forums do not respect my time. I'm trying to keep up-to-date on 20+ subjects of interrest. Using mailing lists this takes 20-40 minutes a day on average. Trying to do the same using forums takes at least 3 times that amount as it means having to visit 20 diffent websites to check for new messages and read them, involving a lot of page load delays. A forum is a nice solution if you're only following a few subjects or if you have a lot of spare time, IMHO. I will not be visiting the t.m.o thread but will miss this list if it is yet another list that becomes a victim of the everything should be a forum mob.
