We could subscribe webmaster at talk.maemo.org maemo-community, create a "Maemo community mailing list" profile on tmo/maemo with maemo-community at maemo.org as the email, and then anyone with access to that account could subscribe the entire mailing list to "interesting" threads. Not sure I'd be very happy about this as a mailing list subscriber, but seems like a straightforward way to let people on the list know what's happening in Talk.
