Even today, outside of the US there are ~100 million devices that share a technological background with MeeGo (=Qt), which can certainly be a valid business opportunity, *if* you have the right product. If Rovio based their operations on how many copies of Angry Birds they could sell in Finland at the time they originally wrote it, they would have ditched that project real quick.
