The problem I have with MeeGo is that there is uncertain involvement
from hardware manufacturers. With other mobile platforms there is
certainty. I've had folks tell me Nokia is committed to a few devices,
but in real world terms it looks like very small market releases. At
this point I feel even WP7 is more viable a platform in the long term
than MeeGo. Not just viable economically but in a community sense. Sure,
I could reconnect with the handful of people left on t.m.o or this list,
but frankly what would be the point?

I have seen the large amount of work done by Intel, Nokia, and others
have done on MeeGo, but the resulting work seems to be limited to small
market releases instead of on a global scale. I feel sorry for the folks
working their butts off for what I see in my eyes as work wasted. Their
work deserves to have proper marketing campaigns and multiple device
releases in *all* major markets just like Android, iOS, and BB.

Thanks for the offer. It's the first genuine bit of help I've seen on
this list (or on MeeGo's list, which I abruptly left a while ago).
However, I believe my original point still stands. You can try and point
me to the MeeGo site all you want but I've seen it already.
