Hi, This thread makes me sad. I really feel addressed as the primary person behind the "some people" comments made here; I am being accused of wanting to shut maemo.org down, of wanting to burn the maemo house down behind me, etc. I really want to stress again, as I have on T.M.O., that I have had a long and happy relationship with Maemo and maemo.org, and I don't want to shut, wind or burn anything down. I don't believe that a referendum at this point is a good idea. There is still a year and a half on the clock before Nokia will decide whether or not to continue funding for Maemo infrastructure. The community will be much different in a year, and I think those who are still around at that point should be the ones to decide what to do about maemo.org. Just because someone does not agree with your particular ideas about how to organize the community, does not mean that they are opposed to the community in general. My opinion that it isn't yet time to have this referendum does not mean that I want the community to die. I stand opposed to this referendum at this time, not to the community.
