I don't necessarily agree with the last sentence for the long term.  Those
are community databases and the community, with community governance, has
the right to decide who has access to them.  That is not to say that I would
not consult with Nemein on the security risks, and follow their advice based
on their expertise, but I cannot accept blanket rules that have the effect
of making it harder for the community to do what it wants (the Coding
Competition vote being an example of the community's frustration).  I don't
mean to imply here that Nemein is not a valuable part of the community.  I
am quite appreciative of their support and think they are a big part of
maemo's future.  But there are members of the community that perhaps can be
trusted with database access in the future.

Yes, I thought this was interesting too.  I increasingly think Maemo may
have an advantage that we are off (or under might be more appropriate to
say) the radar in the big picture whereas MeeGo is seen as being a
competitive threat to WP7.
