Hello Community Council,

Please accept this email as application for a Community Award (Nokia
N9).  I have been involved in Maemo since 2007, first with the N800,
then N900 devices.

My involvement with Maemo started as a user/enthusiast, and has moved
towards bug reporter, blogger, conference attender (Amsterdam 2009 and
Dublin 2010).  I even coded and published a very simple application
for the N900 [7] and N9(50) [6].

I have interviewed Maemo Community members, and also Peter Schneider
within my blog, Mobile Tablets! [1].  I have also hosted Q&A sessions
for previous Maemo Community Council elections [2], [3].  I have filed
bugs on bugs.maemo.org before the N900 sales start, as a result of
having the pre-production device from 2009 Amsterdam Maemo Summit.

I did receive a Nokia N950 last summer as part of the Community Device
Program for the N950 [4], [5].  As you may be aware, the intent of
that Device Program was to bring OSS apps to either Nokia Store, or to
apps.formeego.org in support of the N9 ecosystem.  As a fulfillment to
the N950 device program, my application MaeFlight was entered into the
apps.formeego.org testing repository in the Fall of 2011, and is now
in the normal downloads area [6].

There are many qualified people applying for the Community Awards, and
as such, I thank the Community Council for reviewing my application.
