You'd be surprised... I'd say 10%-20% of E3 is gadget-/video-/independent software developer-based... Anyway, I'm not trying to _push_ E3 specifically...

>> On another note, two others that I didn't mention before might be: SXSW

...I'm just trying to think outside the "gotta be open source & Linux" box... SXSW is an amazing show, showcasing everything from music to electronics to art to... You name it. I think something like Maemo would go over big there. SIGGRAPH is all about new technology and how it can be used to emphasize and inspire art/film/entertainment/whatever... Again, I'm thinking about the attendees, not necessarily the historical specifics of the venue itself.

But, like I said... Just trying to remove Maemo a step or two from what people typically expect. Maemo doesn't need to be pigeonholed.

Nokia + games = http://www.n-gage.com/

Maemo has nothing to do with N-Gage and the third party offering for
games is really modest for the average expectations of the E3
attendance, isn't it? Besides, have you looked the pictures of the
N-Gage booth? Do you really want to man a stand there? ;)

I don't see this is something we need to push now.
Do you see the Maemo community there? If so, why?
