Re: Link icons... I like them. :)

Re: Sidebar... It could change to be specific for each page/section, but... What if the internal links per page werre good enough that the sidebar could remain the same...? Just a thought.

As for future comp pages... I'd like the see the Planet page tackled under this new design. Currently, the "non-elastic" design breaks when images are too big, etc. I wonder if we could create something more fluid under this new design. But, we can talk about subpage design comps during the meeting (or after via the List).

Tim

--- Original message follows ---
Subject: Re: Fwd: Site
From: Andre Cunha

The other areas are gourped by more specific content (help, reference, docs) and thats why I just drew a bullet point to be used in whichever link comes on thoses groups. Maybe its the case to deiferentiate even more the get started area from the other 3 groups. What do you think?

On Wed, Dec 3, 2008 at 2:32 PM, Dave Neary <dneary@maemo.org> wrote:

Hi Andre,

Thanks for this.

Andre Cunha

I'm pretty happy with the content organisation -
although we'll obviously need to refine content a bit - especially
"Reference" needs work.

Just a couple of questions, before we start working on suggestions for
changes.

The logos next to content in my mock-up was a suggestion rather than
something I'm insisting on - what's your take on them? I get the feeling
that the different logos don't work too well right now - with different
logos for each list element in "Getting started" and the same logo for
everything in "Help" and "Documentation". What do you think?

Do you envisage keeping the same right sidebar for all pages? I was
thinking that the sidebar would change to include information relevant
to the main portal pages, and would include the current structural menus
which are in the current site for second-level and deeper pages.

Aside from these queries, I think this looks good, and if we can get
another revision from Glaubert quickly, I think we can move on to
HTML+CSS, and start looking at how lower-level pages will look with the
theme.
