I started the Personalization page (first link in the first message of this thread) to collect the personalization (customization) stuff on N900 as I did not find any wiki page on that (for some reason I did not find the customization page Ossipena started months earlier :-)

Having two different places for similar material is not good, so I am all for merging the personalization and customization pages. In case I have too much time in my hands tonight, I'll take the relevant materials from Personalization page (http://wiki.maemo.org/How_to_personalize_your_N900) and move them over to the Customization page (http://wiki.maemo.org/Customizing_Maemo). Ok?

Yes, you're right - and since the subjects are often not exactly the
same, it's hard to know whether a name change or a page merge is more
appropriate. The only thing which is easy to know is that it's no good
for the reader to have several options like this.

I would prefer just merging both Customizing articles to "Customizing
Maemo" and having a separate section for some of the power use hacks.

Cheers,
Dave.
It can then be tagged to both beginners & power users. Maximum benefit. And own pages for every bigger customization process maybe to stop bloating of the article.

I'll merge the power users customization page to n900 led page and remove it.

Ossipena / Timo
